We take our responsibilities with how we handle your personal information very seriously. As such we keep under constant review the information, we collect to ensure that it is secure and required. When information no longer needs to be stored, we will remove it from our systems.

This document relates to Catman who will ultimately be the holder of this information.

What information do we collect?

Information about your business such as your current website, what you do, where you are located.
How you arrived at our website such as by clicking on one of our adverts or a link from another site.
Your usage of our website such as the pages you looked at.
Any special offers you have been given so we can ensure that when we quote you the offer is automatically applied.
Recordings of calls and live chat conversations allowing us to verify details and for training purposes.
In the case of current customers, we store information about your usage of our website management system such as the features you have used.
We store information about how people use the website we built on our platform.

Why we collect this information

The information we store allows us to provide an accurate quotation for your requirements
Website usage information and information about how you arrived at the site allows us to optimise our website to provide the easiest process for you to find what you are looking for.
Knowing the ways people arrive on our site helps us make better use of our marketing spend so we can avoid ineffective ways of promoting our business and therefore keep our prices down for you.
Your contact information is required so we can send you information about your services e.g. billing, new features
Management system usage information helps us identify issues and improve the way our services run.
Information about your website visitors is stored by us so we can investigate any issues and provide you with data about your website users such as traffic information.
How do we secure the information?

We store your information on our servers which are located within the EU and provided by Amazon Web Services.
All traffic between our website and you is done over secured SSL connections meaning that no one can intercept anything you send us e.g. when you log into your site
The data is physically secured within Amazon’s data centres.
Access to your information is limited to only essential personnel.

Who do we share the information with?

Information we collect is only every shared with third parties for our own purposes. This means we use services which help us communicate with you e.g. email sending services, but we will never share your information so another company can contact you. The information is held by Catman which includes all its current and future brands and subsidiaries.

For email marketing, we use a service called Mailchimp. We include information such as the services we provide you in that information so we can ensure that correct and relevant emails are sent to you.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small files stored in your web browser to help the website interact with you. Without cookies, every time you visit a new page the website thinks you are a new visitor. Catman uses cookies whenever you visit or login to Catman. Catman stores your unique numbers, and creation and expiree dates on your hard disk. This cookie allows you to move from page to page at the site without having to Login in again on each page. My Offers uses session and cache cookies to store data on our server that are individually identifiable these session cookies are deleted from your device when your browser is closed.

Catman also uses cookies to improve the login experience. For example, Catman may store your login details in a cookie that will remain on your device after you log out. This cookie allows you to be automatically logged in the next time you visit Catman. If you are using a public device or do not otherwise want this information to be stored, you can un-check the “remember me” tick box when you log-in, and this cookie will not be used.

The sites or services you visited may store their own cookies on your device. Catman recommends that you read each site’s privacy statement to understand their policies and practices regarding the use of cookies. Our third-party advertising partner employs a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s device hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.

Catman uses website performance cookies (via Google Analytics and Hotjar.com; to review their Privacy Policies) to analyse traffic information such as the pages you visit, the time you spend on the site. These cookies are anonymous, and we do not have a database of individual profiles for each visitor. The information collected using these cookies cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.

Catman also uses tracking pixels to measure visits to the site from one particular source (e.g. a specific banner or email campaign) and the response rates from these sources. These tracking pixels will not collect your browsing history and are used for website and traffic source performance purposes only.

We use these services in order to increase the efficiency of our websites.

Catman and some of our business partners (e.g., advertisers) place cookies via our site. We have no access to or control over these cookies.

These cookies are used to share your audience segments with third parties (advertisers, publishers or social networks) to make adverts more relevant to you. Audience segments are a pool of users that have been grouped together based upon previous web browsing behaviour and lifestyle and demographic profiles. By allowing these cookies, you are more likely to get relevant adverts while you visit other sites. Preventing these cookies will not stop adverts but they will be less tailored to your interests.
